The panel tells you which detector, not which floor
On an addressable system every detector, call point, sounder and module carries its own address on the loop, so the panel reports "smoke detector, 7th floor lift lobby" rather than "zone 4". In a building of any size that is the difference between finding a fire and searching for it, and it is the reason addressable is now the default for anything above a small premises.
Because the panel knows each device individually, it can be programmed to act on them individually. Cause and effect is written against the approved zone and evacuation strategy: which sounders operate, which lifts recall, which dampers close, which doors release, which pump starts, and in what order for a phased evacuation. That matrix, agreed with the consultant before commissioning, is the system’s actual specification.
Loop design matters more than device count. We plan the loop routing, isolators and spare capacity so a single cable fault costs part of one loop rather than a floor, and so the system can take the devices a future fit-out will add. Commissioning is device by device — every detector tested at the head, every address confirmed at the panel, every interface proved — and the as-built device schedule and cause-and-effect matrix are handed over with the system.
What the installation is built from
A loop, the devices on it, and the interfaces that let the fire panel operate the rest of the building.

Send the drawings or the BOQ and we will price it line by line. Most enquiries start with a site visit, because the site decides the system — not the catalogue.
