Terms

Terms of use and of sale

What you agree to by using this site, and what we agree to when you order from it. Written to be read rather than to be survived.

The short version

An order placed here is a request, not a contract

Placing an order on this site tells us what you want and starts a conversation. It does not complete a sale. We call you to confirm stock, delivery and price before anything leaves our premises, and either side may stop at that point at no cost. The contract is formed when we confirm the order, not when you press the button.

That is deliberate. Fire equipment is specified against a building, and the right answer to "two extinguishers" is often a different rating or a different mounting than the one in the basket. The call is where that gets caught.

Ordering and pricing

Prices, quantities and what is included

Prices exclude GSTEvery price on the catalogue is shown excluding GST, and GST is added at checkout at the prevailing rate. The total you see at checkout is what we invoice against, unless a price is corrected on the confirmation call.
Prices are confirmed against stockTrade prices move with the market and with quantity. A price on this site is current at the time it is shown and is confirmed when we call. If it has changed, you are told before anything is dispatched and you are free to cancel.
Delivery is quoted separatelyThe catalogue price is for the goods. Delivery is quoted once we have the address, because it depends on where the site is and what is being carried. See the delivery page.
Installation is not part of a catalogue orderSupply, installation, testing and commissioning is quoted per site after a survey. Ordering equipment here buys the equipment; it does not book an installation.
Equipment carries its manufacturer’s warrantyWe supply equipment from authorised distributors and pass the manufacturer’s warranty to you in full, with the datasheet and test certificate. We are not the manufacturer and do not extend a warranty beyond theirs.
Refilling and servicing are dated from the work, not the saleWhere we service or refill equipment, the next due date is recorded on the work and on the commissioning record. Keeping to it is the building owner’s obligation under the fire rules, not ours.
Using this site

The site itself

AccuracySpecifications and standards on this site describe generic trade equipment and are given in good faith. Where a code, rating or certificate number governs your building, the governing document is the manufacturer’s datasheet and the authority’s requirement, not this website.
Content and marksThe text, photographs and layout of this site belong to us or are used with permission. Company names and marks shown belong to their owners and appear as a record of work done, not as a claim of endorsement or of any dealership.
AccountsAn account is optional — you can order without one. If you make one, keep the password to yourself; anything done from a signed-in session is treated as done by you. Tell us if you think that is no longer true.
Governing lawThese terms are governed by the law of India, and the courts at Mumbai have jurisdiction.

Anything here you want in writing against your order

Ask before you order rather than after. We would rather answer it once than argue it later.
