The unit to use on something that is still switched on
CO₂ is stored as a liquid under pressure and discharges as a gas and a cloud of dry ice. It is non-conductive and leaves no residue at all, which makes it the correct choice at a switchboard, a UPS, a server rack, a lab bench or a machine with electronics in it — anywhere that a powder discharge would end with the equipment written off along with the fire.
Two things about it need to be understood by whoever might use it. The horn gets extremely cold in use, so the unit is held by its handle and not by the horn. And because it works by displacing oxygen, discharging a large unit in a small unventilated room is not safe for the person holding it — in a confined space, use it and leave.
Sizes are chosen for the equipment rather than the room area, and CO₂ is usually installed alongside another type rather than instead of it: CO₂ at the panel and ABC powder in the corridor is the normal pairing. We survey, supply, mount and sign the units, and cover the annual check, refilling after use and the hydrostatic test cycle under contract with a per-unit record.
Sizes and what each one is for
Capacities we supply. CO₂ units are heavier than their powder equivalent, which is part of choosing the size for who will be lifting it.

Send the drawings or the BOQ and we will price it line by line. Most enquiries start with a site visit, because the site decides the system — not the catalogue.
